George Clooney has arrived at the Tony Awards—and with glamorous wife Amal Clooney by his side.
The couple looked like the epitome of class as they walked the red carpet at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall ahead of the ceremony.
Amal was regal in an off-the-shoulder white gown with strands of pearls draped across the fabric, which she accessorized with a matching pearly clutch and eggshell-colored kitten heels. Meanwhile, George, the man of the hour, kept things classic in a black tuxedo.

The couple’s arrival at the Tonys comes just hours after George closed his record-breaking Broadway show, Good Night, and Good Luck. After a historic three-month run—which saw it become the highest-grossing play in Broadway history—the play had its final performance, with George as the star, at 1 p.m. today.
George’s performance in the play earned him his first Tony nomination, for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Play. Clooney is up against several important actors in the category: Cole Escola for the beloved show Oh, Mary!, Daniel Dae Kim for Yellow Face, Louis McCartney for Stranger Things: The First Shadow, and both Jon Michael Hill and Harry Lennix for Purpose.

The Tony Awards honor the best Broadway musicals and plays—as well as the greatest actors, crews, and behind-the-scenes Broadway creatives—of the past year. This year’s ceremony will be hosted by none other than Wicked star Cynthia Erivo, who played Elphaba in the 2024 film adaptation of the musical of the same name.
Apart from Clooney, other big stars nominated tonight include Nicole Scherzinger for Sunset Blvd., Sadie Sink for John Proctor is the Villain, Sarah Snook for The Picture of Dorian Gray, Mia Farrow for The Roommate, Darren Criss for Maybe Happy Ending, Jonathan Groff for Just In Time, and Audra McDonald for Gypsy.
The 78th Tony Awards will air on CBS and Paramount+ at 8 p.m. ET.
