Clooney gets Tony nomination for best actor in GNGL

HI, Ida! I can't read the article you posted without subscribing to The Times (which I won't do) but I got an email this AM from Broadway World listing all the nominees - and there was George!

I was a bit surprised because coverage of the play was almost more for the high ticket prices than for the show, though the reviews were pretty good & George's performance was mostly praised. I don't know how much of a chance he really has, but the nomination is nice.

If Way 2 Old is still lurking around I'd love to know what she thinks.

Just a note: GN&GL was also nominated for scenic design, costume design, lighting & sound Tonys.
