George Clooney is twinning with his son!
Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE at the Jay Kelly premiere at AFI Fest 2025 in Los Angeles on Thursday, Oct. 23, the actor, 64, revealed that his 8-year-old son Alexander, whom he shares with wife Amal Clooney, is the spitting image of him when he was a child.
“My son looks exactly like I looked when I was his age, so it is sort of cut and paste in a way,” Clooney tells PEOPLE of Alexander. “I show him pictures of me when I was 8 and he thinks they're pictures of him.”
"It's pretty fun," he says adding that he feels "very lucky" to be able to spend time with his loved ones as he ages.
"I'm 64, so you look back at everything, because the looking forward is harder," he says. "But I'm in a pretty comfortable place in life. I like what I do for a living, I have great friends, I spend time with people that I love, and I've been able and lucky enough late in life to be able to spend time with my family."
He and Amal, 47, who is a human rights lawyer, welcomed Alexander and his twin sister Ella in 2017 when George was 56.

George also opened up about how he and his wife don’t do certain things since welcoming their two children.
“Well, you have to be careful, right? You can't just go swinging as you used to,” he tells PEOPLE at the film festival, which is sponsored by FIJI Water. “And Amal and I both had to change our goals on where we would go."

"I used to enjoy going in places that were dangerous. I liked going into the Nuba Mountains and Darfur and Abyei, and there was war zones. And I found it exhilarating. And Amal was in a bunker in Beirut for two years doing the court cases,” George continues. “And we had to make decisions not to do that once we had kids. You had to change sort of what the rules were.”

“You know, we live on a farm in France. A good portion of my life growing up was on a farm, and as a kid, I hated the whole idea of it," he told Esquire. "But now, for them, it’s like — they’re not on their iPads, you know? They have dinner with grown-ups and have to take their dishes in. They have a much better life."
"I was worried about raising our kids in L.A., in the culture of Hollywood. I felt like they were never going to get a fair shake at life," he continued. "France — they kind of don’t give a s--- about fame. I don’t want them to be walking around worried about paparazzi. I don’t want them being compared to somebody else’s famous kids.”
