The Telegraph online reports that tonight George is hosting a dinner for his family and close friends at Cipriani and Amal is hosting a separate dinner for her family and friends at the Aman Hotel. About 100 guests expected at George's dinner.

I wish I could have afforded a wedding like that and I get the bride comes from wealth and wants an elegant, fairy tale just short of over the top lest she be tacky. STILL something isn't right. It does seem like a fairy tale and fairy tales are well, full of it. It seems just too perfect. They Fall in love, the look good together, but no one even knew about her until April. Was he that in love that he kept the relationship a secret or is he going through a mid-life crisis? Thus the rush to the isle? I don't know - he has the money to make this very oppulent and elegant and still a secret if he wants his personal life to be personal. I guess he's excited but after so much build up, I would imagine he's either made a complete 180 and is a different man... or hoping to blame the media if it doesn't work because there is sooooo much coverage of this - and heaven forbid if it weren't to work out then that would be really embarassing. And I just am not seeing this being real - looks like a production - like a movie. Is it me? And I'm just jealous that I'm not in the water taxi with him Sad

Now we know why G took this year off. This is his greatest production, written, directed, and orchestrated by him. Sorry folks, I wish them well but this is sooo not the person I once admired.

I feel a little bit like this too.
They could have a big, the biggest wedding, without this Kim & Kanye kind of public display.

George told everyone where he was going to marry weeks ago. Why? He doesn't need this.

It's two separate parts of the same wedding. Of course they get pronounced man and wife and say their vows and all that, but the legal part of the wedding (which is just them signing paperwork) gets done on Monday.

MeganMorris - You're right. He doesn't need this, but maybe SHE does. This whole about face happened once he met her - so maybe all this crap isn't George, but Amal and her family and he's just going along with what they want to keep her happy.

I sure as hell hope she's worth it.

Should a breakdown occur, we'll never know about it. He'll never file for divorce. They'll remain married (albeit on paper only) and claim they aren't always together because of work. But we get ahead of ourselves. For now, let's throw the rice and have civil thoughts about the wedding.

I reserved weddings venue in very good prices for my wedding day and they provided amazing facilities. I really loved their services and location was just amazing. Highly recommended to all.
