Georgia Clooney is opening up about his family's life in Europe.
During a conversation with Esquire, the Jay Kelly star, 64, shared a glimpse into his life living in France with his wife Amal Clooney and their twins Alexander and Ella, 8. George told the outlet that he's "very lucky" to be able to raise his children on a farm away from the Hollywood spotlight.
“You know, we live on a farm in France. A good portion of my life growing up was on a farm, and as a kid, I hated the whole idea of it," he explained. "But now, for them, it’s like—they’re not on their iPads, you know? They have dinner with grown-ups and have to take their dishes in. They have a much better life."
"I was worried about raising our kids in L.A., in the culture of Hollywood. I felt like they were never going to get a fair shake at life," he added. "France—they kind of don’t give a s--- about fame. I don’t want them to be walking around worried about paparazzi. I don’t want them being compared to somebody else’s famous kids.”

Elsewhere in the interview, the outlet captured a hilarious moment while the family of four were enjoying food. As George unveiled the afternoon's lunch — lemon pasta and chicken with fresh tomatoes from their garden — the mom of two, 47, joked that they were "lucky" that she "didn't cook any of it." In response, George jokingly asked his twins what happens if their mother cooks the food.
Together, Ella and Alexander responded in unison, "We all die!”

The couple, who welcomed their twins in June 2017, tend to keep their family life private. During a recent conversation with Glamour, the activist spoke revealed that when guests visit their home, she takes away their phones to create a safe space for private moments.
"Creating private moments and spaces is becoming increasingly difficult. But that’s also why we entertain a lot at home," she told the outlet. "I now have a phone basket that I use to take everyone’s phones away!"
"It’s important to get that balance where you have time alone with your family and with your friends where people feel like you can have a safe and frank exchange," she added. "And I would say becoming a parent means you’re more troubled by some of the intrusions. So we do the best we can to minimize any impact on our children. We don’t put our children out there, we’ve never put their photo out there or anything like that."

Despite their family life being private, George can't help but rave about his little ones in interviews. The Ticket to Paradise actor recently gave a sweet update about parenting the twins at the 2025 Tony Awards.
“They want to see Taylor Swift," the actor told E! News. "The funniest part is that they have no idea of references. Robert DeNiro will be at the house and they’re like ‘Who’s that?’ They don’t care."
He then revealed that, despite their lack of knowledge of film legends, both Ella and Alexander are big fans of Wicked. “They’re looking forward to the second part," he told the outlet.
