I haven’t been on here in years, but I would love to hear from all of you from back in the day. Not following George so much these days, but I do have a trip to Como next year.  Kinda brought back my celebrity crush, at least some. I promise not to bother him, but I will get a photo of me in front of Oleandra, since our boat ride goes that way.

Just curious. Has anyone in the UK seen the new "Les Mis Staged Concert" that started touring last week? I think the first show was in Belfast.

If anyone has seen it I'd love to know what you thought.

Just wanted to let you all know that 'The Agency,' on either Paramount + or Prime Video with Showtime (I can't keep the streamers straight), is really worth a watch. I'm not just saying that because Jeffrey Wright, whom I would watch boli an egg, is in it. George and Grant are first-credited exec producers. Check it out.

  Cheer up! There are still a lot of good people doing a lot of good things. With the holidays almost here, try to put politics & the rest of the world out of mind & enjoy the season with family & friends. There will be plenty of time to worry in the future.

THE STATE ELECTORAL CERTIFICATION DEADLINES that contains enough damning evidence that even the most diehard and/or stupidest MAGAT realizes the racist rapist traitorous wannabe king should not be walking free, much less anywhere near the White House, and he is denied enough votes to keep him short of 270, I'm out. Not interested. I'm in family and self protection mode.

Anyway, also saw 'Wolfs' at a friend's movie night. Entertaining, decent storytelling, good production. George and Brad playing off each other in their familiar and comfortable movie personae. Good choice for grownup movie night where no one wants anything deep.

Way2Old - I'm no Pollyanna. Some days I think the only hope for this country is if Tfg pulls a Jim Jones on everyone who supports him, including the whole Rep. contingent in Congress - but that ain't gonna happen any time soon. So...

I'd rather focus on the little things people do in real life. I know little acts of kindness won't change the political situation, but they do make me feel a bit less pessimistic about the future. There are still good people doing good things every day, just on a scale too small to make the news.

Put politics on the back burner for the holidays and enjoy being with your friends and family. Tfg doesn't know or care that you're so angry. It's just spoiling your holiday. Try to forget about it for a couple of weeks and celebrate the spirit of the season. Save your anger. I'm sure Tfg will give you plenty of reasons to be upset in the future.

Wow! Judging from the videos coming out of LA, George sold his house just in time. I don't know if the fires have hit his property, but the smoke alone must be awful to deal with. Once they get the fires under control - God willing it's soon - it will be a long time before things get back to anything resembling normal. The big question is whether Trump will send timely help or whether he'll play politics. So far it doesn't look good.

A couple of people I know in the LA area have sent 'This Is where my house used to be' videos. It's heartbreaking. They got out with essential documents and a change of clothes, and little else. One guy whose house is fine now has three now-houseless families staying with him.

Most people don't realize that the majority of people, even in Malibu and Pacific Palisades, don't have the means to rebuild to that life again. They're not millionaires. They are working class people who were living in inherited or rented properties.

It doesn't take much to lose it all in these times, that's for sure.

And anyone who bought their home or tried to upgrade their insurance coverage in the past five years is SOL. The insurance companies either denied them, or are walking away with all that old premium money without paying any claims. It feels like the grifters always land on their feet - standing on a pile of bodies.

Way2Old-You're right about the insurance companies. They're doing the same thing in Florida. If you can even get insurance the rates are through the roof & getting paid is a battle. Getting repairs made is just as hard & expensive. My cousin lost part of his roof in the hurricane & is still trying to find someone to fix it. It could take months.

Luckily the people I know in California don't live in the fire zone - so far. They're either far enough north or south of LA that they haven't been affected yet. I know Biden is sending FEMA & HUD assistance, but who knows if Tfg will follow through. He can't be trusted to do anything decent.

Change of topic: Richard Johnson's column in today's NY Daily News: Kaia Gerber is at her parent's home in Los Cabos, Mexico at the El Dorado Golf & Beach Club where George & Amal also have a home.

So...apparently they still have property there. That makes ... 6? Cabo, Kentucky, NY, Como, France & the UK (Is the UK 1 or 2? Does she still have her London flat? & there's the Sonning house.) Maybe they'll offer their homes to friends who've lost their homes in the LA fires.

PAN - The Richard Johnson article said Kaia was staying at her patents' home at the El Dorado Golf Club. Maybe that's where Randy & George bought after selling their homes. There were articles at the time that they were rebuilding at another location. Maybe this is it.

As far as California is concerned, Gov. Newsome is doing his best to handle the situation and get the truth out. Drumpf is doing his best to politicize the situation and make things worse. He's a disgusting piece of work without a vestige of humanity. If he survives the next 4 years, we may not.

PAN - I don't know what she's doing career-wise, but Johnson's column said she and Austin Butler were in Mexico over the holidays in a "last ditch attempt to salvage their relationship". -  Whatever. I only know what was in this article because George was mentioned. Otherwise, I don't follow the Gerber gossip.
