Let's Convince George to run for President!

That would never happen.

Why do you think that?

George has said so himself he would never run for president. He has too many skeletons in his closet. Not to mention
he won't be willing to play politcal games. He can do more as George Clooney than President.
Not to mention he would never put his family in that fish bowl. 
Amal being a human rights lawyer would also cause problems we have to deal with certain countries and she challenges
many of their actions so no it wouldn't happen .

It's an interesting analysis. But I think we're sort of beyond skeletons-in-the-closet being a hinderance to a run for President at this point.

Skeletons in the closet are unimportant. There are other reasons he hasn't got a chance: Being a movie star & ultra-rich makes him part of the "Hollywood elite" which many people despise. He's married to an Arab woman. He spends most of his time outside the US. He's an outspoken liberal who talks about his humble roots, but never really had to struggle, so to many he comes off as phony.

I've been a fan for years, but I wouldn't vote for him. I truly believe he's where he should be, doing what he should do. I just wish he had supported Joe!

No, I wouldn't. Not that he isn't smart enough, but I don't think he's electable. He's too "Hollywood" for many people to vote for him. He's seen by many as an entitled elite who's out of touch with the average person - so I think it would be really hard to get him elected. Besides, he spends most of his time outside of the US where most of his homes are.

George can do a lot of good in the world just doing what he does now. He doesn't need to involve himself in politics - & I'm still ticked at him for what he did to Biden.

I agree Lizzy, I have to say I wouldn't vote for him either I know he would lose . And I wuld never want to see him put his family through the hate and lies that would come from him running.
George does more than most of the countries politicians the one's with the power to do what is right.

To be honest I understand what george did with Biden, like it or not Biden wasn't really in good shape to continue. I'm not saying he isn't still a great President. But in this election
he needed to be able to speak his mind clearly. 
I don't believe Biden quit because he was forced too I believe he knew he wasn't able to continue with the race in his condition, he was a lot stronger 4 years ago.
I am glad he will continue to run the country until Kamala takes over . I can't wait to see him hand the power over to her.
I  know there are some who won't vote for her , but just as we came out for biden to defeat trump we will do it again the 2025 plan will hurt all of us. I believe there
are enough smart people to understand that trump cannot be allowed to win.

I think you're right, Annemarie, about support for Kamala - at least I hope you are. A lot will depend on who she chooses as her VP.

I do think Biden was forced out. I believe he could have beaten Trump if he had gotten the kind of party support Kamala is getting. Then he and Kamala would both have been in office & if he stepped down she could take over and run in the next election as the incumbent.

Anyway, that's water under the bridge. I have confidence in Kamala's ability to win and I hope Pres. Biden uses the remainder of his term to continue making history.
