Thanks for the good wishes, guys, but can you believe it's already a done deed? Went on line last night and in 15 minutes had an appointment for today. Went in, got my shot and so far all's good.

The online process was easy to follow, if a little repetitive, and the people in the store were really efficient and friendly. I'm surprised I haven't gotten an email from CVS asking me to rate my visit. I get one every time I set foot in the place to buy something. Maybe since I didn't have to pay for this it doesn't count. Anyhoo, all done = though I'll still be wearing my mask most places. I got my shot but I don't trust all those Trumpers out there.

Yay Lizzy!  That’s great. I don’t know about you but after I  got mine it was like a weight being lifted.  It’s a good feeling.

Donnamarie - Totally agree! Now I just want to wait the couple of weeks they say it takes for the vaccine to start working and then I'm going to visit my uncle. I usually see him at least once a month and talk to him all the time, but because of covid I haven't seen him in person in more than a year. We just had a zoom gathering for his 96th birthday, but it isn't the same as meeting face-to-face.

Next, I'm going to check out what's coming back on Broadway. I'm really looking forward to seeing live theater. I know there's probably nothing opening before fall, but I want to find out what and when so I'll have a chance to get tickets for the shows I want to see. I know there are a lot of people waiting for theaters to reopen.

I read that Broadway would be opening this fall.  So is the Kennedy Center in DC.  At this point I’m willing to get tickets to just about anything just to be in the theater again.  It will be interesting to see how the theaters will handle the return.  Will they do partial capacity or do full capacity.  Either way Im sure masks will be required.  Also wondering if they will want proof of vaccination before reserving seats or possibly having to show proof before you can enter the theater.  That will be tricky.

It's all a bit confusing. Our mayor and governor are never on the same page, so it's not 100% clear how things will work. It seems baseball stadiums will have separate sections for vaccinated and un-vaccinated people. I also heard that they will be offering vaccines on entry, but I'm not sure if that's true.

I've also heard that restaurants and theaters can open at 100% capacity later this month, but then I heard they can only do this if they can maintain 6ft. distance between patrons. It makes no sense, which is par for the course here. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Whatever the re-opening looks like I'm pretty sure a lot of places will want proof of vaccination, if not ahead of time at least on entry to the venue.
