The year was hijacked by Covid. The summer is almost over that is crazy.

I am sooooo pissed off right now! It's meant to be the hottest day of the year in the UK, and what's it doing round my way? Raining. That's what! Sure, it's warm, but it's been mostly overcast and drizzly. This summer is not fit for purpose. I want my money back!

Are you sure you're not here in NYC? Same wet weather, although I'm not complaining about the lower temperatures. It's warm but comfortable which, IMO, is way better than HOT and humid. Usually this time of summer we're melting.

I think I jinxed us! 
Went to bed cool and comfy and woke to HOT and HUMID! Typical NY summer weather, and it looks like we'll be in the 90s for most of the week. UGH! I am not a summer person.

Yes. No reply, which isn't like her. I know she has health concerns, which is why I'm a bit worried at not having heard from her. Fingers crossed she's fine and just doesn't feel like posting.
