Clooney Foundation for Justice website

Donnamarie had already mentioned the Foundation website, and though I don't find it very informative, I decided to sign up (which I usually don't do unless I know what to sign up for). But they seem to have found great partners who support their idea.

A lot of people have an issue with their countries' governments funding the refugees, and getting the private sector involved is a great solution.

I agree Fingersandtoes. I also think private/public sector partnerships are a great way to tackle educational and economic disparities on a national and global level. For the private sector they can feel good that they are providing an invaluable service to a community and it's good PR for those companies. Shows they can use their profits for something other than just enriching their own pockets.

IMO, it would be even more helpful if job training and employment opportunities could be added to the education package. Maybe the donating companies could develop programs along those lines for children who graduate from the schools they fund.

If I was wealthy this is not something I would fund or be connected to.  I do understand why it would be important for George Clooney and his wife Amal Clooney to connect there lives and fund a refugee program particularly for these children.  I think it is important to give where you can and connect your life to what's important to you.
