Quoting from twitter

Hi all

I've recently been asked by a twitter user to remove their name from their tweets that are quoted in this forum. As a favour to me, if you find tweets about George, you're more than welcome to re-post them here, but please remove the name of the person making the tweets when you do so.

Yes, Atalante, these people should realise that their tweets are public and not private but not everyone is that knowledgeable.

Obviously if it's a tweet meant to be shared publicly (say, Kirstie Alley or from a restaurant) then go ahead and quote her, but if it seems to be a private convo, then use your discretion.

Well since I'm not a fan of twitter, you won't have to worry about me posting anyones tweets. I just don't get the whole tweeting fad, someone want to explain the world wide attraction, what am I missing?

I have no idea. I hate twitter, even though I have several twitter accounts for the hotels I represent and have to tweet daily.

Tweets are PUBLIC???? Seriously, people are clueless about what they're doing these days.

I have no problem with your request, Katie, but what kills me is that people use George's name to be noticed on twitter. ROTFLOL!

Also, these people don't realize that all one has to do is put George's name in a "twitter search" and ANY PERSON who uses George's name in their tweet is listed.

I did open a twitter account to see what it was all about and closed it a couple of days later. I didn't think anyone would really care if I was -

'Having a cup of coffee'
'Watching the Good Wife'
'What a beautiful sunset'

etc, etc, etc, course if I was out sightseeing and happened to run across George, that would be interesting!

I care Snoopy!!! And it's funny, cuz' that's pretty much the same reasons I closed mine! I "saved" some of the ones that interested me in my favorites, and I can still follow their tweets, just not respond. No need to for the most part. None of them were tweeting about George anyway, or the Good Wife, or a good cup of coffee or a beautiful sunset for that fact.
