I just wish they'd stop blaming the movie's poor performance on George. He was good in the movie and he busted his ass promoting it. I don't know what more he could have done.  Seems to me Disney et al  should bear the brunt of the blame.

Lizzy I think a few media sites try to lay blame on George just to attract readers to their stories.  Once again makes for a flashy headline.  But for the most part the responsible and knowledgeable sites attribute Tomorrowland's poor performance directly to Bird.  Many reviews I've read think George's performance was spot on.  But it couldn't make up for the sloppy storytelling.

Donnamarie - I agree the movie's failure has nothing to do with George, and I know why the media sites and some "reputable" columnists are using George as a scapegoat. I just wish they'd stop already!

What does it say about them as critics if they say the movie is poorly written and then blame its failure on the actors? It's stupid and it just makes me mad.

FYI, Tomorrowland comes out on Blue-ray on October 13th. It will include a bunch of bonus features.
