We just met Nick Clooney

Maybe a book presentation????? one woman has the book Doon in her Hand

Oh Nick does not look well.  He has aged in the past few months.  I hope that he's okay.

He's somewhere around 80 ( or more), and has had a stroke, ( left side affected.  Look at the way he's applauding, in the wedding photo))  Looks good in spite of it. He's  hosted a summer party in Kentucky, plus trips to Como, Venice and now his involvement with a PBS special.

The 2 women in the photo are the authors of Doon.  So it very well may be a book signing.
The instagram says he sang show tunes in her ear...  the PBS special Nick is scheduled to host is about movie musicals- possibly he's doing promos for it?  Perhaps why he looks rather tired.

Appparently they co-wrote the book together.
