Ben Affleck Wishes George Clooney the Best on Wedding Day
Ben Affleck is sending his congratulations to his friend and colleague George Clooney on his wedding day.
The 42-year-old actor was not able to attend the wedding as he was in New York doing press for his new movie Gone Girl. His longtime friend Matt Damon was one of the many celeb guests in attendance in Venice, Italy.
“Yeah. Some people have to work and everybody else gets to be in Venice. But [George] found a great girl and I’m happy for them. I wish them the best,” Ben told ET Canada on Saturday (September 27), the day of the wedding.
Ben and George won Oscars together last year for producing the movie Argo, which won Best Picture.

Albert Brooks' comment just might be the best of them all
George Clooney is finally off the market, and a lot of other famous folks are sharing their thoughts about it.
The longtime bachelor wed British lawyer Amal Alamuddin in a star-studded wedding Saturday in Venice, Italy. Bill Murray, Matt Damon and Bono were among the attendees.
But even the celebs who didn't get an invite were still quick to offer their congratulations and quips about the wedding on Twitter.
