George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin aren’t giving up their jet-setting lifestyles — and unlike most newlyweds, the duo will often be apart, even after tying the knot!

“When the honeymoon’s over, they’ll be a truly international couple,” an insider tells the new issue of Life & Style, explaining that Amal loves her work as a humanitarian lawyer, and George wants to get more involved in charity work in Africa and the Middle East.

But the happy couple have already come up with a solution. They have vowed never to be apart for more than two weeks and when separated will “be on the phone with each other constantly,” the insider tells Life & Style.

Great Idea... hope that will work out like that....

Perhaps, it would be nice.  But probably difficult to implement. he's on location, she with clients/court.   Also, consider the publication LifeStyleWeekly . About as accurate as  the Mail, Page 6  and your local carrier pigeon.


It works for Matt Damon, because she's a stay at home mom.

PP- I thought of Matt and Luciana too. Maybe that's where they got the idea. If they really make it a priority it could work.

Some couples in the film business have it.

Angelina and Pitt have it. They talked about it many times,  and were able to implement it for 9 years until last year when they had Unbroken and Fury (which Angelina has said it was a one time thing) . But for that through 9 years they both had to say no to projects they wanted too.

Someone told me recently that Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts,  Ben Aflleck and Jennifer Gardner and a few other couples have a similar "rule". I don't know how truthful that is.

If George and Amal are willing, it will probably be easy since she's not an actress who has to be in location for 2 to 4 months in some country or different countries.

It all comes down how committed and how willing the couple is to make sacrifices. George and Amal seem to be willing to do what it takes to be together and that is a start.

We will see how it goes when George goes back to work.

They will probably schedule their downtime into their schedules. If their relationship is a priority they will make it work.

IMO It's all a question of priorities. If they want it badly enough, they'll work at it. Nothing important is ever easy, but if they're committed to making it work, it will.
