My letter to George and Amal

When we heard about the engaged,  I had a mix of feelings, it was so strange.... I needed to write something. I didn´t post it, it was for me, but as the wedding is near and they will be married this weekend, I decided to post it. It´s very personal so I hope you all understand that.

The perfect thing would have been give it to them, in order that he knows that they are lot of fans happy for him, them.

My english is not perfect and sometimes it is not easy to show my feelings through words because of the language but I tried. I hope you liked it. 








My dear George Clooney is engaged and he will be married soon. He is in love; he found the love of his live. And I can´t help but be really glad and happy for him, for both.


I have to be honest and say that it broke my heart a little bit, but not because I´m not glad that this happened, because this is new, it was shocking, and I´m used to see George single, free. He has the life he wants, he has a perfect life. Because I was too young when I fell in love with this guy and there is a little part inside of me that continue being that girl and is like when your first love is gone forever.

I didn´t expected this day to come. He has said so many times it won´t be happen, but you don’t know when the right person is going to appear in your life.


I took this new better, much better, than I thought. Why? Maybe it was time, the right moment, maybe I knew it inside of me that this was coming, that she was the one, I felt it.


George, you means a lot to me. I was 13 when I first look at you on ER, when I look at a magazine, saw Doug Ross and found that he was a guy called George Clooney, and immediately I fell in love with that guy. I remember that moment perfectly and I cannot believe so many years are gone.

Everything you say is important for me, what you do in your life, what you fight for, what you like and love, respect and defend. How you love your friends, how you would do anything for them. How you respect and keep the privacy of your family. You are not a regular guy out there, I know it for many years. And all the people who have talked about you all over the years have been confirming it.

And now you have decided to share your beautiful live with a smart, elegant woman.


That guy that has made me happy with their interviews, jokes, photos, movies and ER, and broke my heart as my first love did when I saw him with girls that I knew you wasn’t belong to.


I had a different feeling when I saw Amal with you. I can´t explain it, but she was different, I can tell.

I hope that that woman, Amal, loves you the way you deserved, and she understands that she is really lucky, not for having "George Clooney" by her side, for being with a truly great guy, smart, funny, sweet, friendly, honest, caring, respectful, friend of his friends, and who have come to this life to be happy and make happy the people around him.

On those moments, the only thing I would like to do is to hug you George, tell you that I´m happy for you, because if you have decided to do this, is because you are sure of what you are doing, how and who she is, because you are sure that your feelings are real and you are really in love with her.


I only want to ask Amal to be at least half as good for you as you are, George. To love you and respect you, because I know you will do it.

Amal, take care of him please, love him, because you've been lucky for being chose to be by his side.

Hold him when he needs it most, when his back is killing him and the pain not let him sleep, on his bad days, when insomnia appears, when he is really busy working and there is almost no time to be together, hold him, hold his hand, be supportive, tell him that everything is going to be fine, kiss him as if it were the last time, be at his side through thick and thin moments, laugh with him, make him smile, makes every day feel that he chose the right woman.





Take care of him please. I know he will take care of you and he will be a great friend and husband for you.

Hathaross I could not have said it better myself. I am fairly new to this sight. So I haven't gotten to know all the posters that well but everything you said is so heartfelt and I absolutely feel the same. And though I know it's very important for him to take great care of her I feel just what you said about how Amal should care for George. Thanks for sharing these intimate thoughts with all of us.

It is bitter sweet. I too was crushed when GC announced his engagement, but it is what it is. I loved him as the single guy, and will see what happens as the married guy. Thanks for sharing your letter.

Hathaross thanks you so much for putting into words some of the feelings many of us have, but a sense of loss. When Amal first became known I got very upset and said this was the one. Everyone kindly told me to calm down it was just another GF.

When you love someone you want them to be happy so I pray for both their happiness. But also think he will not be on US soil as much.
