Tom Cruise is “angling for an invite” to George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin’s wedding because he is “determined to wedge his way back in” to Hollywood social circles, claims OK! magazine.

According to the tabloid, Cruise has become an outsider because of “years of bad press over his Scientology connections and his nasty split from Katie Holmes.”

A so-called “source” then tells the magazine, “Tom is dying to be friends with George and his crew.”

The tab goes on to allege that Cruise is even asking his Edge of Tomorrow co-star Emily Blunt to “put in a good word for him” because she stayed at Clooney’s Lake Como estate in 2010 with her husband John Krasinski.

OK! is basically trying to make Cruise look like a teenager who’s desperate to hang out with the cool kids in school, which is simply NOT true.

Of course, this is the same outlet that falsely claimed Cruise was fighting with Nicole Kidman over their son’s health and inaccurately published that he “spoiled” his daughter Suri with $150,000 worth of clothes.

Never mind the numerous times the tabloid wrongly reported Cruise was reuniting with his ex-wife Katie Holmes.

Regardless, Gossip Cop checked in with a legit Cruise source who says this story is completely untrue.
