Actor Richard Kind is set to follow pal George Clooney into the single life after splitting from his wife.

The beloved character actor and his wife, Dana Stanley, are separating, according to Closer magazine.

Promoting his film Obvious Child at the Sundance Film Festival last week, Kind refused to talk about his marriage break-up, telling reporters, “I don’t want to talk about that. I don’t want my kids to know.”

The couple has three children, Skyler, 11, and twins, Samantha and Max, nine. Kind and Stanley wed in November, 1999. Clooney served as the groom’s best man.

Kind’s agent had not responded to WENN’s request for a comment by press time.

Some people separate for a while for legitimate reasons.

IE....John Thaw and Sheila Hancock did that when she had breast cancer as she wanted space to deal
with it.
They were devoted to each other and she was devastated when John died of cancer years later.
