In October Gold Derby senior editor Matt Noble made the bold claim that “Gravity” would win best picture at the Oscars. Since then “12 Years a Slave” has eclipsed it on Metacritic with a score of 97 and “American Hustle” has started to create buzz. With its socko box-office and rave reviews “Gravity” is still well in the race, but to escape the barrage of competition Matt went to outer space, Clooney style.
