SillyGirl, George says he "steals" things all the time. It's the ideas and the way fellow directors direct, writers write, etc. He admires their work and wants to "steal" their ideas. The same as him saying "I don't like him much" in almost every interview he does where somebody asks him about a co-star, etc.

I know Melbert I remember him saying stuff like that before. I would prefer he said he likes to "emulate" other directors rather than "steal"....I guess it is a usage issue with me. Nothing personal just a phrasing issue.....

(oh and I think he should stop saying "I don't like that guy"...it is a bit worn out...)

In one interview or article he said to one director I stole that from you and the other one said, I stole that from so & so. It is part of how they talk to each other and given credit to the person that had the original technique or style. It is a form of a compliment to the originator.

The same when they say that they don't like someone, it is being a little facetious but not mean spirited. I guess to make things a little more interesting than saying I like so & so. Nothing is meant by it.

It's me, I think you watched the video before, at least you comment on it. :-). 
It was posted here before in this thread. It's not new. It was the first video. But the first video looks like got deleted from youtube. It is the video which was 11 minutes long and he was sitting in the hotel room and had the window in the background where you could see the river from Venice. Hope that helps

Everyone else including Warner Bros are just borrowing clips from Sina's video. Unfortunately when I first saw this video back in last year, I didn't know about this forum. Just amazed by the fact that Chinese media got to do an interview with George!

Sevens - Thanks for the video. It was nice to see (and hear) him answering questions like a grown-up. He joked around so much on the MM tour that I almost forgot he could carry on a serious conversation.
