The mystery blonde in Miami 1999

Just two days after enjoying a birthday bash tossed by his long-time girlfriend, "ER" hunk George Clooney flew with buddies for a week of carousing around Miami - where he cavorted openly with a stunning blonde.

With girlfriend Celine Balitran safely 3000 miles away, George was able to enjoy his three main passions - golfing, drinking and flirting.

Surrounded by gorgeous girls with dazzling tans, George summoned up all his willpower at first and kept hands off as his fun in the sun vacation began on May 8.

Soon after he checked into Miami Beach's trendy Delano Hotel, the actor feasted his eyes - and only his eyes - on topless girls sunbathing.

Just 48 hours earlier steady girlfriend Celine had hosted a fabulous birthday party for the 37-year-old star. She even lovingly presented him with bouquets of flowers and a birthday cake.

While dining with buddies in Miami Beach, gentleman George signed autographs for two blondes. But after some polite conversation, they left disappointed.

After dinner, the group went to Red Square, a posh nightclub, and downed round after round, smashing their empty shot glasses down on the bar like actors in a bad western movie.

Gorgeous girls constantly approached and the star politely dismissed them. "Is he gay or what?" asked a stunning brunette who persistently tried to pick him up.

The next night George and his pals hit the popular nightspot Chaos. One girl sat on top of a sofa in front of Clooney, hitching her mini higher and higher, trying to catch his eye. Still on good behavior, he ignored her.

But then around 2am the actor met his match.

In walked a blonde bombshell - in a skintight mini, high heels, low-cut blouse and ample breasts spilling out of a black bra.

George was transfixed.

Soon they were deep in conversation. His eyes glazed over and he pulled the blonde to him. They began dancing and kissing.

At one point, curious George suggestively squeezed her butt and he planted kisses on her neck. She nuzzled him back and he daringly cupped her breast.

They were still holding each other at 4:30am until George escorted her to the hotel where coincidentally they were both guests.

Well, George did *try* to behave!
